Pre Production

Today we carried on with our script in class time, we went over our idea one last time to be accurate that that was the storyline for us. We have decided that we are going to use some stock footage from different films to represent one of our characters. Tomorrow we are going to go on a location recce to take pictures of where we want to go for filming.

Diary 27.11.2018

Today we started our Pre-Production paperwork, I started on the shot list while my other team members went on a location release to scout out where we should film. I carried on with he shot list, this is a piece of paperwork I have not yet ever done so at first I was quite confused I then re read the script we had written and was able to vision the types of shots we should have for each scene.

Test shots

In this shot we see the camera turn upside down, I really like this shot and want to use it as I feel that it is a style Christopher Nolan would use. I would like to use this shot in our short film however more than once.

This will be on outdoor shot of the abandoned hut in which bond has to go to . When filming we will have a tripod and the shot will be straight however I still like the idea of having an establishing shot.

This is going to be the shot for when Bond drives off on his mission. I like this shot as you see the car the whole way along the road and I feel like this is better then chasing the car as the shot will be shakey and I would prefer to have a better shot.

Today a group member and I went to go and take test shots for the different locations that we have picked to film at. The director and I drove to the different locations to take the test shots following the location recce the director went on yesterday. I feel that we got some really good shots and I am very happy with what we have.

For my paperwork at first I was sort of confused as this is the first time I have ever done camera operator paperwork so it took me some time to get used to it. However after some help from my team members I understand what to do now and have enjoyed the role more than I thought I would have.
