Today I had a maths exam which meant that I was out of class for a while, however once I came out of my exam I was told that we were going to have to re film the opening sequence because it had some issues with it. So that meant that both myself and Chris had to rush into town to re film the sequence. I have started to label some of my footage and once I am back after half term I will continue to do this.

Today I came into college during half term to label my footage, unfortunately I will not be able to start editing as I do not have all of the footage for the beginning sequence however I may be able to start editing some interviews together which I can add in later on. I believe that as I have all of my footage labelled this will save time for me when I come to actually editing the whole product. Something else I plan on doing today is going through all my FMP pages to ensure that everything that is meant to be there is there and that I have completed all the diaries I am meant to, when I return to college on Monday I will start my rough edit which will be sent to all the different charities alongside a questionnaire on how I can improve the documentary. I will also send this same questionnaire out to people from our primary and secondary audience to again see how it can be improved.

Today I have started my rough edit, I plan to have this finished by Tuesday afternoon and get the survey sent out by Wednesday morning so that I can receive feedback to make my final edit even better. I am planning to use all the time I have in college and to stay behind when I can to finish in time for the deadline and also to allow myself extra time just in case something goes wrong. So far I have done quite a lot of editing and as you can see above all of my footage is labelled which makes it easier to find clips. I am going to use my free period to edit what I can today. Other than that I am on track to finish with plenty of time to spare.

Today I did not finish my rough edit which is annoying however I do not have much left to do which means I will definitely finish by the time I finish tomorrow. To ensure I am using my time wisely and making the most of it I am planning on coming into college early tomorrow morning, after I have finished my rough edit I will hold a focus group with different people to ask for Feedback I will also be showing my edit to all of my tutors to ask for their feedback and even though I understand this will create for work for myself in such a short amount of time it will only make my edit better which is my main aim. I will stay behind on Thursday to analyse my Focus group and make the changes I will then asses if I need to come in early on Friday or not. I have used different transition techniques to make the different music I have used fade nicely. I am so proud of my work as I can already tell this is the best edit I have ever done.

Today I finished my rough edit which I am so happy about this means that tomorrow I can focus on my maths exam and then finishing the lower thirds, other than this I am really happy with my overall rough edit and happy that I have time to export tomorrow and receive feedback on Monday morning. I will also be holding a focus group on Monday to receive feedback from my peers which will help me change anything I need to change.

Today I had a maths exam which is annoying as it means I do not have as much time in the day to work on my edit, however I have finished my rough edit with lower thirds, on Monday I am planning to hold a focus group to which I can receive feedback so that I can make my edit even better. After that I will start working on my final edit to which I am going to add credits to after that I will start to write my overall evaluation.
Rough edit
This is my rough edit which will be sent out to different clients to receive feedback from them. I will also be holding a focus group to ask people what they though was good and what they think I should change.
Focus group
Today I held a focus group with some of my peers, I asked them what they thought of the documentary
to which they replied: Its very professional it reminds me of something you would watch on the one show as a little segment. I asked them what they would change they replied: I would change the audio levels so that you can not hear doors closing or the loud wind when you are out in the garden with the nurse. My peers also said that the documentary was not to long or to short which is perfect as that was something that I was quite worried about. Other than this the rest of the feedback was really good and I was really happy with the results of the focus group.

Today I held a focus group so that I could receive feedback from my peers about my rough edit, as you can see above me I have written a little bit about my rough edit and how it went. I then asked my tutor if she could watch my rough edit to give me some feedback I then proceeded to work through these changes in order to make my final edit even better. I then started to write my evaluation which I will continue when I get home and when I have officially handed in my final edit. Hopefully tomorrow I will not face any final challenges and I can apply the corrections I have been given in a short amount of time so that I have longer to complete my evaluation.
